In 1 Tim. 1:3-7, Paul urged Timothy to remain in Ephesus that he might charge people to teach no other doctrine nor give heed to myths and endless genealogies because some wanted to teach the law rather than grace.
Today, we also have people departing from the truth revealed in the Bible. They want to undermine the foundation of God’s Word by mixing in man’s evolutionary theories; thereby robbing God of His power, glory, and holiness, and compromising the authority of His Word.
I command you to teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to speculations and scientific sounding fables, which promote questions and disputes rather than advancing the kingdom of God by faith in His Word. (1 Tim. 1:3-4)
Now the goal of the command is love out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and genuine faith. (1 Tim. 1:5)
But some of you, by deviating from these, have turned away into useless talk and empty argument. You desire to be teachers of evolution to avoid appearing foolish to the world. But you have little understanding of the Bible, genuine science or the arguments for evolution. (1 Tim. 1:6-7) Anyone who teaches a different doctrine (like theistic evolution) not agreeing with the truth clearly taught in God’s Word, is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. (1 Tim. 6:3-4)
By agreeing with the evolutionists who are brainwashing our children, you assist them in destroying the faith of the little ones who believe in Jesus Christ. Beware, because Jesus said, “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.” (Mt. 18:6 / NKJV and Mk. 9:42)
Guard the truth that has been committed to your trust. Turn away from worldly and empty talk, and the oppositions of what is falsely called scientific knowledge. For by professing belief in evolution, some have departed from The Faith. (1 Tim. 6:20-21)
It is time to repent, and teach no doctrine other than that which is clearly taught in the Bible. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, in six literal days. (Gen. 1:1; Ex. 20:11a; Ex. 31:17b)
